what are we doing about this?

"The U.S. is currently 21st, 23rd, and 25th among 30 developed nations in science, reading, and math, respectively. The children in our schools today will be the first generation of Americans who will be less educated than the previous generation."  ~ Michelle Rhee in Newsweek 21-06-2010

is this good enough?  are we, as a nation, content with knowing that our children will not be as well educated as at least 20 other nations??

i hope not.
